Hometown Newsmaker Web Stats

Hometown Newsmaker Web Stats helps give you the big picture on the reach and success of your hometown news campaigns, and also shows you where people are finding (and sharing) your news online. Web Stats works best when you include email email addresses in your hometowner spreadsheets. Otherwise, students are not able to view and share their stories. Including email addresses in your spreadsheets more than 50% of the time will unlock the advanced features of Web Stats. Learn how to use this feature.

You can open and close each section of the Web Stats Browser by clicking on the plus (+) icons. You can also adjust the time period to show the last 6 months (default) or just the last 30 days. Don't forget to share your Web Stats with your colleagues! You can export a .PDF version of your Web Stats to share your success with your peers and colleagues.

Hometown News Stories

The stats here show you how many hometowners you've sent out how many unique stories you've published online as a result of those hometowners.

Media Distribution

The stats here show you the cumulative amount of postal codes you've announced news about, and the total number of media outlets you've reached with your hometowners.

The map you see here is interactive, so you can zoom in and pan around. The pointers on the map represent the last 1000 records in your spreadsheets that you've used for recent hometowners. Click on individual pointers to view specific information relating to a person in one of your spreadsheets. If you see a marker with a number on it, that means that there are more pointers to see when you zoom in.
